Built for dirt jump, slopestyle, freeride and bike park riding, the FUNN DJ saddle in brown keeps a compact 245×135mm shape that stays out of the way when you move your body over the frame. Inside are 8mm chromoly rails, a full millimeter thicker than the usual 7mm standard, built to take harder landings. The rear and side panels use abrasion-resistant synthetic leather exactly where thighs and pants grind against the saddle during grabs. The brown finish suits a retro or earth-toned build.

A compact shape built for moving over the frame

At 245mm long and 135mm wide, the DJ saddle sits among the smallest in the lineup — on purpose. The short nose and tail stay clear of your knees and hips as you shift forward and back over the frame, so nothing gets in the way on a landing or a bar spin. That platform wouldn't be enough for a long trail ride, but for dirt jump and slopestyle riding it's the point.

8mm rails — thicker than usual

Most MTB saddles run 7mm steel or titanium rails. FUNN steps up to 8mm chromoly (CrMo) on the DJ — an alloy that, thanks to added chromium and molybdenum, handles more bending stress before failing. Under a hard landing the material flexes and springs back instead of deforming permanently or snapping the way thinner, cheaper rails can after a season of jumping.

A cover built for where saddles fail first

The rear and side panels use highly abrasion-resistant synthetic leather with strong grip — exactly where a rider grabs the saddle during grabs and where it scrapes the ground in a crash on its side. The medium-density foam underneath holds its shape under repeated loading without being so soft that it bottoms out on a landing.

Mounting: a classic twin-rail clamp

Round rails clamp into a standard two-bolt (twin-rail) mount, the type most MTB and BMX seatposts use — unlike closed Pivotal or I-beam systems, which need their own hardware. The only thing worth checking before you buy is your seatpost's clamp type: a classic two-rail clamp accepts this saddle with no modification, Pivotal or I-beam won't.

What clamp does the DJ saddle need?

A standard two-bolt clamp with two parallel round rails — common seatposts handle the thicker 8mm rails without modification, with more strength margin than a thinner 7mm rail.

Why so short?

245mm keeps the nose and tail clear of your knees and hips as you shift over the frame — a longer saddle would get in the way more during jumps and bar spins.

Does the cover hold up to hard crashes?

The rear and side panels use abrasion-resistant synthetic leather built for exactly that — sliding on the ground in a crash and gripping under a rider's thighs during grabs, where a standard cover wears through first.

Does it work on a trail bike?

Physically it fits, but it's not built for that job — limited fore/aft adjustment and firmer foam make long rides uncomfortable; a trail bike wants a wider saddle, like the FUNN ADLIB.

How much thicker are the rails than usual?
