What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They are used, for example, so that the shop remembers the contents of your cart, or to show us how the website is used. Similar technologies (such as the browser's local storage) work in the same way; in this policy we also refer to them as cookies.

Legal basis

  • Technical cookies are necessary to run the shop and to provide a service you have requested (cart, sign-in, form security, remembering your cookie choice). Under Section 89(3) of Czech Act No. 127/2005 Coll. on electronic communications, they do not require consent. We process data from them on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Analytics and marketing cookies are stored in your browser only with your consent (Section 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without your consent, Google Analytics and the Ecomail tracking script are not loaded. Consent is voluntary, is not a condition of purchase, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Cookie categories

We divide cookies into three categories. They stay in your browser for at most 2 years, most of them for a much shorter time.

Technical cookies (always on)

Necessary for the online shop to work properly and securely: the cart, login, selected language and currency, fast page loading, protecting forms against bots and remembering your cookie choice. The website cannot work without them, so they cannot be switched off.

Besides us, they are used by:

  • Google (reCAPTCHA form protection),
  • Ecomail (newsletter sign-up form).

Analytics cookies (consent only)

They show us how many people visit the website, which pages they view and where they come from, so we can improve it. They store an identifier of your browser, so the data is not anonymous.

Used by:

  • Google (Google Analytics).

For details see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. We keep data in Google Analytics for at most 14 months.

Marketing cookies (consent only)

They allow us to show you ads and offers matching your interests on our website and elsewhere (in search engines, on social networks and in advertising networks on other websites), to send personalised e-mails and to evaluate how successful our campaigns are. They may store an identifier of your browser and information about which pages and products you have viewed. We send you e-mails only to the extent you have given your consent or where the law allows it.

Used by our partners:

  • Google (advertising and campaign measurement),
  • Ecomail (personalised e-mails),
  • Heureka (measuring purchases after a visit from the price comparison site).

Who processes the data and transfers outside the EU

  • Google (Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA): the controller of data from cookies is M & R spol. s r.o.; Google is a service provider. Data may be transferred to the USA to Google LLC. The transfer relies on the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework), in which Google participates. Google's information: business.safety.google/privacy.
  • Ecomail.cz s.r.o. (e-mail marketing, newsletter form, tracking script): a Czech provider; Ecomail's cookies are described at ecomail.cz/ecomail-aplikace-cookies. It stores data in the European Union (Amazon Web Services data centre in Frankfurt); sub-processors may also be based in the USA, in which case transfers are governed by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

We do not pass data from cookies to any recipients other than the providers listed above. Personal data processed in connection with orders and customer accounts are described in the Privacy Policy.

How to give, change or withdraw consent

  • On your first visit a bar appears with the options "Necessary only" and "Accept all"; you can also choose individual categories.
  • You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it.
  • Consent is valid for 183 days, after which the bar appears again. If you refuse consent, the bar appears again only after this period. In Safari, cookies set by a website may be limited to 7 days, so the bar may reappear sooner. The bar also reappears if you delete cookies in your browser or use another device or browser.
  • You can also manage or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Blocking technical cookies may stop the cart and sign-in from working.
  • If you refuse or withdraw consent, analytics and marketing cookies will not be set, and those set earlier are deleted after withdrawal.

Your rights

You have the right of access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and the right to object (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). If you believe we are processing data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz). You can exercise your rights at obchod@kasitro.live. We have not appointed a data protection officer.

Effective date and changes
